Ford EcoSport
Ford EcoSport was showcased at Auto Expo India 2012, which happened recently. It comes in two variants, the 1.0 liter ecoboost petrol, powered by a 1.0 liter ecoboost petrol engine, relatively new to the Indian market. The power output is unknown until the moment. However, the mileage might be great at 80-20 kmpl. On the other hand, the Ford EcoSport 1.5 litre Duratorq diesel features 1.5 litre Duratorq diesel powertrain and 90 bhp and 204 Nm torque.
Ford EcoSport is going to be launched with two kinds of engine. The petrol trim is going to be equipped with an Ecoboost engine of the capacity of 1.0 liter, and the diesel trim will be the one that is similar to the Fiesta/Figo’s i.e. a 1.5 liter Duratorq engine.
When it comes to mileage of Ford EcoSport SUV, the petrol variant is supposed to give 18-20 kmpl mileage, and the diesel one is going to, in all probability, deliver 23 kmpl of mileage.

The car will also feature a 1.0 liter petrol engine from the Ecoboost family of engines. This direct-injected, turbocharged petrol engine is down size in order to deliver more mileage. 18-20 kmpl mileage is how much this variant is supposed to deliver. In general, SUVs are not expected to deliver a high mileage. However, EcoSport is an exception. The diesel option is likely to be the 1.5-liter Duratorq, the same as in the new Fiesta, with a diverse calibration. This engine will maintain the power up to 90 BHP and is intelligently mated with 5 speed manual gearbox.
Ford EcoSport SUV is going to feature front disc and rear drum brakes in the braking system. The SUV will probably come with an excellent suspension that will be able to handle all kind of roads. The car will be equipped with wheels bigger than 15 inch wide. It is possible that alloy wheels will be available.
Ford EcoSport safety features include 2 airbags, parking sensors, ABS (Anti Lock Braking system), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), three rear seat belts, and Fog lamps.
Price of Ford EcoSport in India: Rs 7 lakh -Rs 9 lakh Expected.
